Week of July 16-22
“Father God, we need to be revived and refreshed by Your Word. Increase our desire for it. Holy Spirit, speak to us about the things that take precedent over meditating upon Your Word. “The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul” (Psalm 19:7). Lord, may our world view be from Your glorious vantage point today. Thank You that you have filled the Bible with stories of so many worshipers seeking You and serving You under dire circumstances. We come to Your Word to be cleansed, to be restored, to make straight our paths. Keep us from walking away from your Word feeling “puffed up with knowledge,” but instead may the love of Christ stir us to build one another up in the faith (I Cor. 8:1b). In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.”
