Grace’s mission is “to build spiritually healthy people for life and ministry in the world.” As we all give of our time and talents, we begin to see this mission fulfilled. What a joy to serve one another to the glory of God! Below are the current service opportunities for members of Grace:
Contact: Justin Tucker
COMMUNITY GROUP HOST
Each fall we need 30 homes to host Community Groups for the school year. We are looking for Grace members who are willing to host small groups in their homes for Bible study, prayer, fellowship, care for one another, and outreach in our city. We offer the training and resources that are needed to show hospitality in this way.
COMMUNITY GROUP LEADER
We need 1-2 leaders per home, totaling 45-60 Community Group leaders. Leaders are responsible to facilitate the small group meeting time of discussing the Bible, praying together, and helping the group engage in outreach opportunities. We offer initial training and weekly resources to adequately equip our leaders.
DISCIPLESHIP STUDY TEACHER
On Sunday mornings we offer various Biblical study topics for adults. We are always looking to train and equip new teachers to lead these studies. We usually have 10-12 teachers each semester, which runs around 12 weeks. If you have experience teaching or would like to grow in your teaching gifts, please consider this opportunity.
(The process to serve as a Community Group leader or host is to fill out the linked application above and receive confirmation from Justin Tucker about your volunteer position. If you are approved as a volunteer, you will be asked to listen to foundational training sessions online and attend a live training session in August.)
Sunday Morning Volunteers
Contact: Nanette Ryan
Greeters and ushers welcome everyone to Grace on Sunday mornings, hand out bulletins, and help guide visitors throughout the building. They are asked to serve one Sunday per month.
Offering volunteers assist with collecting and sorting the offering during the worship services. They are asked to serve one Sunday per month.
These volunteers help with preparing the communion serving trays on Sunday morning. Communion is observed the first Sunday of each month at Grace.
We need male volunteers to help monitor the church campus each Sunday morning. They are asked to serve one Sunday per month in hourly shifts. A background check is required.
(The process to serve on Sunday mornings is to contact Nanette Ryan, receive confirmation of your volunteer role, and complete any training via email or phone.)
Contact: Josh Hussung
D-Group (Discipleship Group) leaders lead a small group of 6th-12th grade students that are of the same grade and gender. They meet with these students each Wednesday night during the school year and lead conversations following our large group teaching times.
(The process to serve in the Youth Ministry is to fill out the linked application above, complete a background check, and meet with Josh Hussung. If you are approved as a volunteer, you will be asked to participate in a training session in August.)

CHILDREN’S SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER
Would you like to leave a lasting impact on the next generation? If you are a member of Grace who would like to share the truth of God’s Word with children on a weekly basis, please prayerfully consider joining the Sunday School teaching team. We need 110 approved adults to serve each Sunday as we partner with parents to disciple our Infants-5th grade children. Volunteers can serve starting August 6 for six months or one year.
Are you tech savvy? Join the Check-in Team as we assist members and visitors each Sunday morning at our check-in kiosks. You can choose the time slot that works best for your schedule: 7:45-8:15, 9:15-9:45, or 10:45-11:15.
Contact Jason to learn more.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT VOLUNTEER
Serve our youth families during the school year by teaching and caring for their children during our Wednesday night Community Group meetings at the Grace building.
(The process to serve in the children’s Sunday School, or as a Wednesday Night volunteer is to fill out the linked application above, do a background check, complete the child safety training, and connect with Jason Miller. If you are approved as a volunteer, you will be equipped to serve at a training session in August or periodic team meetings. Those on the Check-In Team must complete a background check and attend check-in process training.)
