Sunday School classes for Infant-5th grade children:
Infants, Crawlers & Toddlers: A Sure Foundation – A Fragrance of the Knowledge of Christ
Although a church nursery is a place where the physical and emotional needs of your child can be met while you are not present, our goal is to serve parents and children even further by providing a ministry of prayer. When you leave your children in the nursery, they will be prayed for by name. Prayer topics and verses are posted on the nursery walls so nursery workers can focus their prayers for your child.
One Year Olds’ Class: A Sure Foundation – The Wonders He Has Done
“God made everything.” “Jesus is Here!” “We love Jesus.” “Jesus loves me!” These four brief stories are presented to the older one year olds over and over through the year, along with singing and prayer. Scripture verses are reviewed throughout the year to establish beginning familiarity with the Scriptures. Verse cards are given to the parents for review.
Two Year Olds’ Class: A Sure Foundation – His Praiseworthy Deeds
This curriculum will present great truths about God in very simple words, to show glimpses of who God is through the telling of key Bible stories and to repeat those stories and basic truth statements over and over. Scripture memorization included. Verse cards are sent home with the parents.
Three Year Olds’ Class: He Has Established a Testimony
The children are taught key Bible stories in chronological order through the Old Testament. Major themes repeated throughout the Bible, such as God knows everything, God can do anything, God never changes, and faith pleases God, are highlighted in story after story. Scripture memorization included. Verse cards are provided.
Pre-Kindergarten Class: He Has Spoken By His Son
The children explore the greatness of God in Christ by learning key themes found chronologically throughout the New Testament. Scripture memorization included. Verse cards are provided.
Kindergarten Class: Jesus, What a Savior!
Children are presented with the greatness of God through Jesus and are given a beginner’s look at redemption. Scripture memorization included. Verse cards are provided.
1st Grade: The ABCs of God
Right thinking about God is essential for the life of faith. Using the alphabet as a framework for teaching the attributes of God, this study explores the delight that God has in himself as the source, means, and purpose of all things. Each lesson asks and answers three key questions as it presents a theology of God for children: Who is God? What is he like? How should I act toward him? Student workbook and memory verse cards provided.
2nd Grade: Faithful to All His Promises
God’s promises are gifts to the believer. The challenge of the Christian life is not to simply know the promises of God, but to place unshakable confidence in them. This study teaches children that God’s character is trustworthy; therefore, His promises are true and reliable. Student workbook and memory verse cards provided.
3rd & 4th Grade: To Be Like Jesus
What is Salvation? How does someone become a Christian? What does it mean to become like Jesus? This curriculum helps answer these important questions by explaining the elements of the Gospel message, its purpose, and promise. A major portion of this study focuses on the doctrine of sanctification – the process by which a Christian becomes more and more conformed to the likeness of Jesus. Student workbook and memory verse cards provided.
5th Grade: How Majestic Is Your Name
The names of God are wonderful revelations of His majestic character. This study presents the Hebrew names of God in the Old Testament and the names of Christ and the Holy Spirit in the New Testament. Each lesson encourages children to see and rejoice in the goodness and greatness of God as they explore the meaning of his glorious names. Student workbook and memory verse cards provided.
