Complete and review the attached document “Holy” to describe God’s character–who He is and what He is like.

All of these words describe God’s greatness and worth.  These words are what “make” God, God–His “whole-ness” or whole being.

So, when God asks the question above in Isaiah 40:25, we know the answer: No one compares to God!

There is nothing or no one else like God–He is beyond compare.God is holy…He is one of a kind–He’s totally unique and separate from everything else.

Read Isaiah 6:1-5.

Isaiah felt afraid and lost in the presence of holy God because Isaiah realized that he was a very sinful man.

God’s holiness not only means that He is one of a kind and separate from anything else, it also means that He is completely separate from sin.

A holy God cannot tolerate sin.  As sinners, we are separated from holy God.

How did God deal with the problem of sin so we can be in a right relationship with Him?  He sent Jesus to die for our sin so that we may be forgiven by trusting in Him.

Read Colossians 1:21-22: “And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him…”
