Apr 13, 2018 Words of Grace – Your Weekend Prayers
“Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation.” Mark 14:38
This Sunday at Grace, we will continue to let Colossians 3 read us. We will focus on verses 10-14 and the call to put on the new self with its qualities of love.
This weekend, I encourage you to set aside time to pray for our church. On Wednesday, April 18, we will hold our next Membership Information Meeting. This meeting is for all the members of Grace to hear reports and presentations related to the administration and ministries of the church. Here are a few topics that we will discuss at this meeting. Please include these topics in your weekend prayers.
The elders will bring a recommendation on future building plans. Pray that the Lord will continue to give us wisdom, vision, and unity in this area. Pray that we will faithfully use our buildings for making disciples. Thank God for our buildings. They are helpful tools for ministry.
We will begin the process of selecting new elders to serve at Grace. Pray for wisdom as we recommend, train, and affirm these new elders. Thank God for all the servants of Grace who teach, greet, sing, clean, and carry out so many other tasks in our church.
The elders will present a new policy on membership and non-attendance. We will consider how to serve, encourage, and challenge the members of Grace who are no longer attending. Pray for people you know who are neglecting church attendance. Let us reach out to one another in love and service.
