Service & Ministry
Service and Ministry are essential ingredients for spiritual growth. At Grace, we place a high value on contributing our gifts, finances, and time for the work of the church. Listed below are various ministry opportunities both inside and outside our church.
Serving within the church Serving within the body of Grace usually involves participating in one of our ministry teams.
We build up Grace Community Church when we serve on the Sunday Team to insure our worship experience is pleasant, effective, and meets the needs of those who attend. Our Sunday Team consists of Greeters, Ushers, those who serve on the Facilities Team, and those who work at our Welcome Center and Resource Table.
We serve one another by teaching and caring for children in our Children's Ministry or investing in teenagers or college students through our Student Ministry.
Those gifted in music lead our congregation in worship by serving on the Worship Team.
Those with teaching and shepherding gifts may serve our church through Adult Sunday School, Midweek Groups, or other small group opportunities.
Serving Outside the Church We encourage our people not only to serve the needs of the church, but also to exhibit God's redemptive grace to the world. We must see our everyday lives as important to eternity and that we are called to be salt and light in every area of life.
Members of Grace are involved with such ministries as prison ministry, ministry to refugees in the Nashville area, providing medical care for those in need, as well as a strong interest in Global Missions. These represent some of the ongoing work done by our members.
