Children's Ministry
The purpose of Children's Ministry at Grace is to partner with parents in laying a foundation for the salvation and discipleship of our children through Bible teaching and modeling by caring adults.

Grace Partners . . . Welcoming People of All Abilities
Our desire is to include all children in worship and Sunday School with peers their own age, as an essential part of the body of Christ. We have a trained team ready to assist any children and young adults in our classes who need special attention. Our team is called Grace Partners because we want to partner with children, with families and with our teachers to train up all children in the Word of God and to come alongside of families facing challenges that create an extra opportunity to see God at work.

If you have a child that we could assist, if you would like to be involved with our team or if you have questions please contact Jason Miller (377-8997) or Christie Hunley (356-3460).

Children's Sunday Classes
Sunday Mornings, 9:00 a.m. AND 10:30 a.m.

Classes offered for infants through sixth grade. Our primary emphasis during this time is training up children in the Word of God. Classes are as follows:

A Sure Foundation- A Fragrance of the Knowledge of Christ
(Infants – 12 months)
Description: Although a church nursery is a place where the physical and
emotional needs of your child can be met while you are not present, our goal is to serve parents and children even further by providing a ministry of prayer. When you leave your children in the nursery, they will be prayed for by name. Prayer topics and verses are posted on the nursery walls so nursery workers can focus their prayers for your child.

A Sure Foundation- The Wonders He Has Done
(One Year Olds’ Class / Young Toddlers)
Description: "God made everything," "Jesus is Here!", "We love Jesus," "Jesus loves me." These four brief stories are presented to the older one year olds over and over through the year, along with singing and prayer. Scripture verses are reviewed throughout the year to establish beginning familiarity with the Scriptures. Verse cards are given to the parents for review.

A Sure Foundation- His Praiseworthy Deeds
(Two Year Olds’ Class / Older Toddlers)
Description: This curriculum will present great truths about God in very simple words, to show glimpses of who God is through the telling of key Bible stories and to repeat those stories and basic truth statements over and over. Scripture Memorization included. Verse cards are sent home with the parents.

He Has Established a Testimony
(Three Year Olds’ Class)
Description: The children are taught key Bible stories in chronological order through the Old Testament. Major themes repeated throughout the Bible, such as God knows everything, God can do anything, God never changes, and faith pleases God, are highlighted in story after story. Scripture Memorization included. Verse cards are provided.

He Has Spoken Through His Son
(Pre-K Class)
Description: The children explore the greatness of God in Christ by learning key themes found chronologically throughout the New Testament. Scripture Memorization included. Verse cards are provided.

Jesus, What a Savior!
(Kindergarten Class)
Description: Children are presented with the greatness of God through Jesus and are given a beginner's look at redemption. Scripture Memorization included. Verse cards are provided.

The ABCs of God
(1st & 2nd Grade)
Description: Right thinking about God is essential for the life of faith. Using the alphabet as a framework for teaching the attributes of God, this study explores the delight that God has in Himself as the source, means, and purpose of all things. Each lesson asks and answers three key questions, "Who is God?" "What is He like?" and "How should I act toward Him?" as it presents a theology of God for children.

To Be Like Jesus
(3rd & 4th Grade)
Description: What is salvation? How does someone become a Christian? What does it mean to become like Jesus? This curriculum helps answer these important questions by explaining elements of the Gospel message, its purpose, and promise. A major portion of this study focuses on the doctrine of sanctification - the process by which a Christian becomes more and more conformed to the likeness of Jesus.

How Majestic is Your Name
(5th & 6th Grade)
Description: The names of God are wonderful revelations of His majestic character. This study presents the Hebrew names of God in the Old Testament and the names of Christ and the Holy Spirit in the New Testament. Each lesson encourages children to see and rejoice in the goodness and greatness of God as they explore the meaning of His glorious names.
