July Prayer Passage
This month, spend time meditating on Jesus’ parable in Luke 18:1-8, and let it increase your faith to come boldly before God with your requests.
Why We Pray
We believe the power of the Holy Spirit is required to accomplish the mission of the church. We believe prayer is the means by which we receive this power. We believe the church is called to strive together in prayer. (Romans 15:30)
Let Us Pray…
...in the name of Jesus. (John 14:13-14)
Pray with the awareness and acknowledgement that as a Christian you come to prayer with Christ’s righteousness, not yours; that Christ’s prayers deserve to be heard; that you are praying by the command and with the authority of Christ; that prayer is for the glory of Christ; that Christ defeated Satan and sin at the cross.
...according to the will of God. (I John 5:14-15)
The will of God is revealed in the Bible. Pray the prayers of the Bible. Pray for the specific truths and broad themes of the Bible related to God’s will for the church and the world.
...in faith. (James 1:5-8)
Believe that God is working in you, the church, and the world; trust that God hears your prayers; believe that God is moving all things to the great end of revealing His glory; expect and look for God’s work in response to prayer; pray with dependency upon God.

SUNDAY (Psalm 96)
- That Christ would be exalted at Grace today
- For other congregations in our city- that they would preach the truth of the gospel
- For the sending of our people into Nashville for ministry
- For the mission trip to Malaysia leaving in July, and for spiritual fruit in the areas from which our teams have returned this summer (India, Siberia, Finland)
MONDAY (Philippians 4:10-14)
- For people at Grace who are in need, who are sick, who are struggling with sin, and who have sadness and sorrow
TUESDAY (I Timothy 2:1-6)
- For those who are not believers in Christ
- For fellowship among the people of Grace this summer in absence of Community Groups
WEDNESDAY (I Timothy 1:12-17)
- For the servants of Grace: staff, elders, servant team leaders, teachers, and others
- For the Sunday school and small group ministries of Grace
THURSDAY (I John 3:11-18)
- For the children’s and youth ministries at Grace
- For the families of Grace
FRIDAY (Titus 2:1-8)
- For the provision of leaders for Community Groups in the fall and for the planning to be done this summer
- For the ongoing discipleship ministries of Grace: preaching, teaching, training, and encouraging
SATURDAY (I Corinthians 2:1-5)
- For the Sunday worship services and Sunday school classes
- For those who serve our church on Sundays
- For the power of God in preaching, teaching, singing, prayer, fellowship, and evangelism
